Golf Is Good For Your Health

Besides being one of the most popular sports played across the world, golf can actually be good for your health. Depending on how you play and whether you choose a golf cart to get around the course or not playing golf can be great exercise. Walking is the best form of exercise for most people. It does not put too much pressure on your knees as running would and it allows effective breathing for the heart rate increase that occurs as you walk from hole to hole. Walking a full 18 hole golf course is equivalent to 40-50% of 30 minutes of aerobic exercise.

Not only can walking the course be good for your health but it can be good for your game. As you walk from tee to tee you will get a better feel for the golf course such as where the hills are and the overall distance. If you take in your surroundings you might also be more relaxed and get some fresh air which could help your concentration. Walking the course will allow time to rid any frustrations that could be built up form the hole before.

Knowing this you can enjoy your golf game even more than you did before.

Golf Is Good For Your Health

Is it time for a set of custom golf clubs and if so how would you know? If you have reached a plateau with your current clubs and feeling more experienced and skilled it could be time. A sign would be that you are feeling that you could play a better game if your equipment was better.  If you are using low quality non-custom clubs and you feel this way, you probably should just upgrade to quality non-custom clubs, but if you are already using top quality clubs, than it might be time to try some custom ones.

Another way to tell is to remember back to how you upgraded as your skill progressed from the regular beginner clubs to the pro-like clubs you have today. Upgrades are normal and consistent in the game of golf.

Finally you will need to be ready for the commitment and investment that custom golf clubs will bring on. They can be quite expensive and they need to be fitted correctly. Make sure you take this step with caution and if you have made the decision that you are ready to upgrade – go for it! (as Nike would say)
