How A Titleist is Made and Why

Is it time for a set of custom golf clubs and if so how would you know? If you have reached a plateau with your current clubs and feeling more experienced and skilled it could be time. A sign would be that you are feeling that you could play a better game if your equipment was better.  If you are using low quality non-custom clubs and you feel this way, you probably should just upgrade to quality non-custom clubs, but if you are already using top quality clubs, than it might be time to try some custom ones.

Another way to tell is to remember back to how you upgraded as your skill progressed from the regular beginner clubs to the pro-like clubs you have today. Upgrades are normal and consistent in the game of golf.

Finally you will need to be ready for the commitment and investment that custom golf clubs will bring on. They can be quite expensive and they need to be fitted correctly. Make sure you take this step with caution and if you have made the decision that you are ready to upgrade – go for it! (as Nike would say)

How A Titleist is Made and Why

There has been a lot of news about hybrid products lately especially with cars as the price of gas goes through the roof. Why bring the price of gas up on a golf site?  We feel that it is the best well known product that helps explain what a hybrid golf club is for those that do not know. A hybrid is a mix of two exisiting products with the goal of making a better product. In the case of a golf club, it is the mix between a fairway wood and a long iron usually a two to five iron. The hybrid golf club has actually practically eliminated the need for the two to five irons.

Why is it better? Well if you ask a golfer, it would be because of the results they get. They can hit the ball further and longer with such a  club. Scientifically hybrid golf clubs will create a higher and more controllable shot than the flat irons that tend to roll more and thus less directable. They are mostly used for shots out of the rough in which the the regular irons are hard to get the club under the ball in the way necessary to direct the ball on the green where you want it.

The pros are using the hybrids on the championship courses now and that should tell you something as it is doubtful they would use some inferior club just to please Callaway or Nike. They want to win and the sponsors want to too, so this is validation that the hybrid golf club is here to stay. Although slightly more expensive, the club is worth the cost and you can find some great deals on pre-owned clubs that will do the job.
